Calling All Artists!

Eduardo Jiménez Recycled Manatee Art
Above, two manatee pieces created from found objects by artist Eduardo Jiménez. By making artwork from trash, he ultimately hopes to bring attention to the waste that people generate and remind everyone to dispose of their items properly.

Are you artistic, do you want to proactively help the environment, and do you love manatees? Then put your creativity to work and submit your manatee artwork to Save the Manatee Club (SMC)’s 2021 Manatee Recycled Art Contest. The contest will begin August 1st and will run through August 31st, 2021. Your image will be displayed on Save the Manatee Club’s Facebook page and voted on by our Facebook followers beginning September 5th, 2021. First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded to contest images with the most “likes.” First prize is a $35 level Manatee Adoption Gift Certificate, second prize is an SMC T-shirt, and third prize is an SMC plush manatee toy.

All artwork submitted must be original and created by the submitting artist. You will need to submit a picture of your artwork. Voting will take place September 5 – 12, 2021 on Save the Manatee Club’s Facebook page, and the winners will be announced on September 13th. The artist must submit a high-resolution image in a JPEG or PDF format using the online form below (please do not mail physical art submissions).
