2019 Manatee Art Contest Rules
The 2019 Save the Manatee (SMC) Art Contest is open to amateur and professional artists regardless of age or nationality. Employees of SMC or their family members are not eligible to enter the contest. Artwork may be holiday themed or general manatee art.
All artwork submitted (including components) must be original and created by the artist. The following forms will be accepted: painting, drawing, and photography. Digital art is acceptable as long as it is original and the person submitting owns the rights to it. If it is later determined that the artwork is not completely original and violates copyright, the artist is liable for legal costs incurred by SMC.
To be eligible, a high-resolution (minimum 300 DPI) PDF or JPEG format image of the artwork must be submitted by mail to Save the Manatee Club, 500 N. Maitland Ave., Ste. 210, Maitland, FL 32751, email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or Facebook messenger no earlier than June 1, 2019 or later than June 30, 2019. Once submitted, the artwork is the property of SMC and can be used in perpetuity. The artist waives proof rights and notification of use.
Images will be displayed on the Save the Manatee Club Facebook page. Voting will also take place on the SMC Facebook page between July 1st and July 7th, 2019. Winners will be notified on July 8, 2019. First, second and third place winners will receive a prize. Final decision of use of the artwork on holiday cards and/or T-shirts is at the discretion of SMC.
By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules and Procedures, the Terms and Conditions on Use of Images, and the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which are final and binding on all matters. This Contest is void where prohibited and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
