Volunteer for SMC

Tampa Yankees Parrot Head-themed event
What an amazing weekend for all at the Blue Spring Manatee Festival in Orange City, Florida. Whether marveling at the manatees at Blue Spring State Park or enjoying the festivities at Valentine Park, the weather was A+ gorgeous from start to finish! It was busy at the Club's booth and table at both locations, and festival-goers enjoyed taking photos with the Club's "giant manatee" pictured above. Volunteers in photo include (back l-r ) Janneke Bogyo, Todd Franks, Denise Harbin, Wayne Hartley, Deb & Doug Brown, & Janice & Terry Nearing. (front l-r) Ann Hemme, Mina Reale, and Emily Franks. Also thanks to Club volunteers Melissa & Kirk Evans, Crystal Cobb, Donna Rousseau, Sandra Boyd, & Bonnie Kisko for helping this weekend. (Photo by Terry Nearing)

We Need Volunteers!

You can help Save the Manatee Club by becoming a Club volunteer. SMC volunteers staff tables at manatee-related events, engage in speaking presentations, help out in the SMC offices, write letters and send e-mails on issues of concern to manatees, and report information to manatee researchers. You can make a difference for manatees!

If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out our Online Volunteer Application.

If you have additional questions, please send an e-mail to volunteer@savethemanatee.org or call our office toll-free at 1-800-432-JOIN (5646) and ask for Janice Nearing, Public Relations Director.
